In the studio

My work is an ongoing study of color and light in the landscape: how the perfect combination can evoke emotional responses in others. I move between smaller gouache pieces and larger oil paintings, using each to further understand the landscape before breathing life into my work. Some of my favorite artists are Edgar Payne, Scott Christensen, and Paul Kratter.
